MOTIVATION LETTER

To whom it may concern,

My name is Radinda Harahap, and I am a third term Communication Science student at Diponegoro University. I would like to take part on student exchange program at Sabah University. In this letter I would like to express my strong interest to be participant on student exchange program at Sabah University which held by the Dean FISIP this term.

I am an active FISIP student, especially for Communication student. I am a trial staff for HMJ Ilmu Komunikasi as known as rookie, for about a year, and member of Christian FISIP’s student group until now. I experienced to handle events. I always involved become the committee in every events that held by HMJ Ilmu Komunikasi, which are music concert where I was the finance, colloquium for being leader where I was the program committee, and many more. I also involved in some events on Christian FISIP’s student group, I was the program committee for the welcoming party to new student and I was the accommodation division on Passover celebration.

I used to dream about being a student who could study in overseas university. When I was on 12^thgrader, I had prepared myself to took study on Netherland. I have done my IELTS course on 11^thgrade, so I could prepare another thing on 12^thgrader. After I have done my study, I had prepared all my requirements to study abroad, but unfortunately it was distracted because of the financial. However, now, I am positively sure that this exchange is another chance for me to take my dream to could take study in overseas university.

In the following, it is a pleasure for me to give several reasons why am I is the best candidate for the exchange program. First, as a Communication student I know that I am able to socialize and mingle with other people easily. It is not hard for me to recognize someone’s personality, so I know how to treat people around me to make them comfort with me. Second, I am also an independent person because I don’t do depending on people, unless it should be. 

Next, I am an organized-person, I have to-do-list based on the priority, so I know where should I do first. I am not a ‘deadliner-person’, because I am an organized-person, I can’t make something near from the deadline, I will feel guilty to do that. Furthermore, I am an open-minded person, I accept differences. I live in a family who hold on different believes, and how we know that religion is a crucial thing to be talked about. I also see everything objectively, I am glad and curious to hear and know many things, so I also could see things with many perspectives. 

Last but not least, I am a hard-thinker person. I always consider all chances that I will take, even sometimes I miss-guessing, but it will not far from I thought before. Being a thinker build me to become realistic, every concrete has its way to become a skyscraper, so I believe that human also have their way to tread and through their own success. Every effort always results good thing, there is no rainbow if it isn’t rain. Effort will not betray you, and people who don’t give effort will not receive their present later. Be realistic is just be logic, don’t hang you dream too high if you don’t ready to get hurt. By be a realistic person, I know that something precious is not easy to take because it needs more effort to be taken.

Thank you very much in advanced for this opportunity and considering me. I am convinced that I am the best candidate for this exchange opportunity, and by chose in this program will make me become a better FISIP’s student when I come back. I am really looking forward for the good news.
